Wedding season is here!!
We’ve been lucky enough to go to two weddings this year. One in our home town Alicante, Spain and another one in Reading, U.K. They were in the same two weeks so we were very spoiled with food and drink at the beginning of June.
Let me start with the wedding of our two special friends Josefa and Trevor. They were wed in Alicante town hall and had lovely reception in a very swanky hotel just 5 minutes walk on the beach.
Josefa approached me last year to make their wedding rings. We were very honoured! They wanted to keep it simple by having a plain band for each of them. Her ring was a 2mm and Trevor’s was 4mm in width. They were both a traditional wedding court shape and both made from 18CT white gold.
Needless to say we were very happy with the end result and they were too! Here’s a photo of them on their special day.
The following weekend we attended my brother’s wedding in Reading, U.K. At this wedding I was lucky enough to be one of Sarah’s, my new step sister’s bridesmaids. Sarah also asked me to create the bridesmaid’s necklaces. She had the idea of having two hearts on two separate chains. I drew up the idea and she was very happy with it. I hand cut each heart from 925 sterling silver and attached them to two separate chains that connected at the top to make one necklace.
All three necklaces were in 18K rose gold plating to match our dark raspberry dresses. It was a very traditional and beautiful wedding and a tear may have been shed as I saw my brother standing there waiting for his bride!
A huge congratulations to anyone who was married this year or is due to be married!
Lots of love
